TN government for release of all accused in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case

Chennai: Tamil Nadu government has made it clear that it firmly believes in releasing all the seven accused in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case. 

Deputy CM O Pannerselvam categorically said on Saturday that AIADMK government firmly believed in the release all the seven convicts, including Perarivalan.
The Dy CM's statement came after Solicitor General Tushar Mehta informed the Supreme Court that TN governor Banwari Lal Purohit would take three to four days to decide on whether to granting pardon to convict Perarivalan or not. Pannerselvam said that it was the AIADMK government led by late 
Jayalalithaa which had first announced the release of the 7 convicts in the legislative assembly and had passed a resolution. Pannerselvam noted that TN government was expecting a positive outcome and reiterated that they were of the firm stand that all the accused needs to be released.
